Since becoming natural I have become more aware of what ingredients my hair products contain. This has also made me question the ingredients in my make-up and the type of skin care products I have been using. I have come to realise that my once loved favourite skin care brands are frankly full of crap. This is why I was so happy to discover a natural skin care line whilst walking the isles of my local supermarket. The brand is happy naturals and they have produced products which are gentler on the skin whilst working with a more natural formula. The products contain no parabens, sodium Lauryl sulphate and mineral Oils. Happy naturals have produced a small range of products which meets the needs of a basic skin care routine. Their products include body creams, body washes, scrubs, as well as hand products. There are two lines of body and bath ranges, argan oil and sea minerals. I have been using the Argan Oil Body Butter for the last three months and I apply the butter on damp skin as soon as I get out of the shower. The butter is extremely thick and it works well on my dry skin, keeping it well moisturised. I believe it does a better job of maintaining moisture compared to some of the more popular brands of body butters. Despite containing natural ingredients the product still maintains a nice smell and you also get the qualities from the argan oil. Argan Oil is known to be moisturising, anti -ageing, and an antioxidant. Another product which produced lovely results on my skin was The Argan Oil Body Scrub, it contains medium sized exfoliant ingredients, which left my skin feeling polished and smooth. I have also started using the Argan Oil Body Wash, but unfortunately I have found this product disappointing as it does the opposite of what it states. The product stripped my skin of moisture and left my skin feeling instantly dry. However overall I would recommend the brand and I will be trying the sea minerals range soon. The range is reasonably priced and you can purchase the body butter and body scrub for under a tenner, what more could you ask for.
At present you can only buy the range from Sainsbury’s instore or online. For me this is so convenient that I can pick up a natural skincare line whilst doing my weekly shop. It means I don’t have to look online at American companies whose products are being sold for extortionate prices online. Let me know if you have found any other natural skin care lines. Caron X
