I love to shop and I am always trying out new products for the hair, body and face. Over the last few months I have discovered a few gems that I really like. Some are just to pamper myself whilst others have become part of my daily beauty routine.
Bianca Miller London Nail Polish
Bianca Miller London is a black owned company created by Bianca Miller who is an entrepreneur and former finalist on The Apprentice. The company sells nude tights aiming to provide nudes for all skin tones, especially focusing on women of colour.
Recently The Bianca Miller London Company has moved into the beauty arena with the launch of a nail varnish collection with eight shades, with five shades being nudes.  The nail vanishes are cruelty free and vegan friendly. The collection also has three classic colours of pink, red and rose gold. As it is summer time I opted for two of the classic colours to brighten up my toes.  The polish was easy to apply and it was of a medium consistency, with the pink shade requiring two coats for a good effect. The rose gold shade has a metallic effect so only one coat was needed.               The nail vanish is a gel formula so you are left with a really shiny finish and drying time was very fast. What I really liked about the nail vanish was that the shiny effect was long lasting, some polishes can quickly lose their shine but this one maintained the glossiness. Also it had good durability and did not chip easily.  I look forward to new colours being released in the future.

Creme of Nature Perfect Edges Black
Creme of Nature has released a black edge control which they describe as providing a perfect hold with exotic shine. It also covers grey roots and makes the hair line appear thicker. The question you all want to know is does it actually lay those edges. Yes it does really lay down the edges… at first. The hold is not lasting on my type 4C hair. After sleeking down the edges and then applying a head scarf my hair began to curl up after thirty minutes. I have never found an edge control that has kept my baby hairs in check for the entire day and I don’t think I ever will, due to the nature of 4C hair. The edge control might be more effective on type 4B or 4A hair.  In comparison to other edge controls I would say that the Creme of Nature Perfect Edges Black did an ok job of keeping my hairline tidy.
Now for covering those annoying grey hairs the edge control did an amazing job and it also leaves your hair looking really glossy and shiny. Once it had settled onto the hair there was no stickiness and the black colour did not transfer. To avoid that drawn on look, you can blend the edge control in with a tooth brush so it looks more natural.

Pixi Glow Tonic
Beauty bloggers and product junkies have all been raving about how great this tonic is. Believe the hype people! Pixi Glow Tonic really does work. The tonic is actually a toner that contains glycolic acid, aloe vera and ginseng.
Using acid on the face might sound crazy and even dangerous but glycolic acid is actually sourced from sugar cane. Also the Pixi Glow Tonic uses a lower percentage of glycolic acid compared to that of a professional chemical peel allowing the product to be used safely at home. Glycolic acid works by exfoliating away the top layer of dull skin working as a buffer. This means it is great for treating wrinkles, acne and pores. It also promotes collagen and elastin production eventually leaving you with glowing skin.
On application of the formula you immediately feel the tightness of the skin occurring and it removes all of the dirt missed by my facewash.  It does leave your skin a little dry, but once followed up with my moisturiser or oil the balance was restored. I found that I had to use it for a couple of weeks on a daily basis before a change occurred.
It has dramatically improved the appearance of my face with my skin now having a clearer and fresher appearance. My skin is much smoother and even. It looks so great that I do not need to apply as much foundation or none at all.

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild
I discovered this face wash when I was gifted with The Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush for my birthday. As part of the pack I received a free sample. For eight months I have been using this face wash and I love it. It provides a gentle cleanse but the face wash is still vigorous enough to remove make up and dirt after using make-up remover. The face wash is slightly expensive but it does last a couple of months, as you do not require a lot of product as it soaps up really quickly. A bottle usually lasts me just over two months.
On rinsing off the face wash I am left with clean and moisturised skin, what more could you asks for.

Let me know if there are any products you would recommend for the face, skin, or hair.
