The weather in London has been awful lately, the snow, wind and rain seems non-stop. This weather is not doing my kinks any favours.
My hair has been so dry and flaky. When this happens I need to use regular deep treatment masks to rejuvenate my hair and scalp. I love mixing up natural hair masks as you are able to create your own mixture and tailor it to your hair needs. You can whip up a recipe with ingredients you know your hair responds to.
When I make a deep treatment mask I always try to use ingredients that are not hard to find in the supermarket or ones that I already have in my kitchen cupboard. Currently I am using sweet almond oil, honey, and apple cider vinegar mixture.
This particular hair mask is great for adding moisture back into the hair, keeping the kinks shiny, and soft. Almond oil can help with scalp dryness; honey is great for locking in moisture and apple cider vinegar prevents breakage, cleanses and softens.
After applying this natural hair mask my hair is always easier to detangle, style and manage. I can notice the benefits immediately. I use this mask around every six weeks to clarify my hair from product build, as the apple cider vinegar ingredient is the perfect clarifier.
Follow these quick and simple steps below to get soft and defined kinks.

Natural Hair Mask Recipe
Ingredients
6 table spoons of Sweet Almond Oil
6 table spoons of Honey
4 table spoons of Apple Cider Vinegar
A small bowl

Method
Apply the hair mask after washing your hair with shampoo and conditioner.
  1. Place all of the ingredients into a small bowl and mix together.
  2. Distribute the mask throughout the hair strands and massage into the scalp and edges.
  3. Wrap your hair with a plastic bag or cling film.
  4. Sit under a steam cap or wrap your hair with a towel for thirty minutes.
  5. Wash out the hair mask thoroughly, add a leave-in conditioner and style your hair as desired.
